Winter is nearly here, and still no complaints about the weather from our site teams (There’s still time!).
October began with several surveys in the centre of Cheltenham, prior to the Christmas shopping rush thank goodness. We also had time to fit in a revisit to Junction 21 (Weston Super Mare) of the M5 where some ongoing site works had been carried out and altered the original survey.
November was soon upon us and we found ourselves for the first week in Bristol alongside the A4174 ring road before returning closer to base to carry out some small surveys in Newnham and St. Briavels. Whilst one team carried out a GPS survey of some land near the Rotherwas Industrial Estate in Hereford a second team undertook a bank survey of a reservoir in Wootton Wawen, Warwickshire, taking special care not to upset the local fishermen.
Mid November saw topographical surveys carried out of the High Street in Bewdley, followed by a larger scale survey of Lowesmoor Road in Worcester (I really wish footpaths were made wider than the width of a tripod!!).
